HMR, incorporated in 2001, was established to professionally manage the affordable housing properties owned by Silver Street Development Corporation. HMR is owned in part by principals of Silver Street Development Corporation, and together with Richard Pierce, the other owner, and President of Housing Management Resources, Inc., brings their experience and skills to affordable housing management. Since the beginning, HMR has had its sights on rapid growth and dedicated commitment to become a premier provider of affordable residential property management. We specialize in affordable housing and we strive to be the best at what we do. Our constantly growing portfolio currently consists of 45 properties servicing close to 5,000 units, located in eight states. Our corporate headquarters is located in Quincy, Massachusetts, and we have several regional offices in other states. We have a solid corporate structure that is comprised of many levels of professional property management talent that includes areas of Compliance, Human Resources, Finance, and Facilities Maintenance. In short, we have brought together a team to accomplish our corporate goal. The primary corporate goal of HMR is to provide a safe, secure, affordable living community for our residents. We understand that property management is a "people business" and that proper management includes much more than simply collecting the rent. We must also be prepared to respond to resident issues that may impact on the household and the entire property in an expeditious manner. We believe an effective property manager serves as the link between the owner, resident and the community. HMR also serves the owner, investor, and lender by maximizing income and minimizing property expenses. Further, HMR assures that all relevant federal, state and local statutory and regulatory requirements are in compliance. We manage properties that range from 28 units to large multi building complexes. Our communities are a mix of urban, suburban, rural, high-rise, and town houses. Our properties are managed by seasoned, professional property managers and well-trained maintenance staff, who along with the support and supervision of the regional managers, allows us to live up to our corporate motto. While we continue to look for new business and growth opportunities, we will constantly strive to improve how we accomplish our goals to professionally manage affordable housing.
