Dear Stakeholders,
We understand that there are many concerns around the Coronavirus, Covid-19, and we want to assure you that we are committed to keeping the business running while doing our part to help people stay healthy and will continue to communicate any changes in service to you as quickly as possible. The safety, health, and well-being of our residents and staff are of the utmost importance to us as we navigate this evolving situation.
HMR created a multidisciplinary CoronaVirus task force which meets daily at 9am and 4pm via Zoom Video Conference Call. We are following recommendations from the CDC and local authorities to minimize exposure and encourage social distancing. The CDC is recommending the best ways to reduce the spread are to minimize gatherings of large groups and consistently clean areas that are routinely touched by the public. We have implemented our Emergency Business Continuity Plan which provides guidance to administrative staff, and includes limited maintenance services, as well as protocols for handling paperwork, alternative forms of verifications and employees working at home when possible. In some areas we are staggering hours to insure coverage. Our accounting, reporting and compliance systems are web based and therefore allow us to continue many functions that are not location dependent.
Closure of Management Offices to the Public
As part of our ongoing response to the Coronavirus pandemic and as recommended by the CDC we are closing all offices to the public. All on-site staff will still report and will be ready to respond to any resident questions via remote forms of communication (phone or email) to ensure continuity of business operations. The office staff can be contacted by Email or phone with any questions or work orders. Documents and rents can be placed in the drop box.
Non-Emergency Maintenance and Work Orders
All non-emergency work orders and service requests will be suspended at this time. Emergency work orders and service requests will be prioritized and handled as they occur.
HMR Sanitizing Protocol
We have increased
the frequency of our regular community cleaning policies and are prioritizing
the cleaning and disinfecting of all hard surfaces in common areas and
high-traffic surface areas.
Community Rooms
The community rooms are temporarily closed as directed by the CDC.
Laundry Rooms
Laundry Rooms will remain open. We have provided our disinfectant product – EnviroCare – in each laundry room for resident’s use and encourage them to use it generously and apply to all hard surfaces touched while doing laundry.
Resident Events
Effective immediately, resident events will be suspended until further notice. We are working with local agencies and schools to accommodate food distributions to our residents using safe social distancing practices.
Communication Updates
Housing Management Resources will continue to follow the direction of the CDC and monitor all developments and provide regular updates. Currently administrative personnel are calling residents and updating electronic contact info. We are also updating our site Facebook pages and Housing Management Resources Corporate page with updated information and resources.
Should you have any questions, please contact us or your reporting accountants. We remain committed to doing our part during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Trish Leonard
